LITT – laser-induced thermotherapy

In laser-induced thermotherapy, a temperature of 60 ° C - 110 ° C is specifically introduced into the tumor tissue by means of a special laser beam. The result is a thermonecrosis that safely and specifically destroys the tumor tissue, while hemostasis in the surrounding tumor tissue. Most commonly, this is currently being used in liver metastases.
