EDTA chelation therapy – outpatient treatment for detoxification e.g. of heavy metals and toxins

Introduction

Degenerative vascular diseases such as arteriosclerosis are rightly feared, as they ultimately lead to life-threatening conditions. The biggest risk factors for their development are smoking, high blood pressure, high lipid levels, malnutrition, stress, diabetes mellitus and pollution with environmental toxins and heavy metals. In addition, there are inherited metabolic disorders that can develop a degenerative vascular disease in the same way. The lack of detoxification enzymes can also lead to the accumulation of metals and toxins in the organism. Free radicals are excessively produced, cause cell membrane damage and lead to the influx of calcium into the cells. This causes small injuries, cholesterol can penetrate into the walls of the arteries and oxidize there. This is the beginning of arteriosclerotic deposition – it leads to vasoconstriction, which in turn cause circulatory disorders. Organs and tissues can not be sufficiently supplied with oxygen and food, the removal of metabolic products is hampered. The detoxification slows down, the metabolism in the affected area collapses. Partial cell death is the result.

Often, the patient will not notice the first symptoms, such as chest pain, slowing of intelligent performance, dizziness, or walking leg pain until 70% to 90% of the blood vessels are blocked. It threatens heart attack, stroke or amputation. The surgery is often the seemingly only way out, but it only cures on the symptom. EDTA chelation therapy is able to stop the catastrophic process. Properly used, many surgical procedures can be avoided.

What is the EDTA chelation therapy?

EDTA chelation therapy is an outpatient medical procedure whose name is derived from the synthetically produced amino acid Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid (EDTA), a chelating agent *. EDTA is given as an intravenous infusion along with certain vitamins and minerals.

It's a process that takes several hours. While the solution with EDTA circulates slowly through the blood vessels, which have a total length of about 100,000 km (which is equivalent to 2½ times the circumference of the equator!), Metal ions are bound together with other constituents of the plaques, the arteriosclerotic deposits and enclosed in a ring structure so that they can be excreted through the kidney along with the EDTA solution. By binding and excreting the metallic catalysts, the attack of free radicals on the cells is reduced, and plaque removal increases the intra-arterial space. It should be remembered that even an increase in the vessel diameter by only 10% in turbulent flow, z. B. in the vicinity of a plaque, leading to a doubling of blood flow.

* Chelators are organic molecules that bind with multivalent heavy metals. Use z. B. as an antidote for heavy metal poisoning and deionization of solutions.

How is the therapy performed?

After the exclusion of contraindications and the performance of laboratory tests, including checking that sufficient kidney function is ensured, treatment can be started. The patient is in a comfortable chair for at least four hours. During this time, the infusion described here runs. In addition, the patient drinks plenty of water to stimulate kidney function because the breakdown products such as metal, ions, calcium, cholesterol and other constituents of the atherosclerotic plaques must leave the body together with the EDTA solution. In between, a small fruit meal is served, thus optimizing the excretion of urine remains in the alkaline range. Also, such hypoglycaemia is counteracted.

One treatment consists of 20 to 30 EDTA chelate infusions in conjunction with good nutrition, exercise training and stress management. Unhealthy habits such as For example, smoking should be abandoned. It is extremely effective to take an infusion every month after completing the initial treatment in order to maintain the success of the therapy and to bring about further improvement. The EDTA chelation therapy may also be performed after surgery, e.g. B. to prevent after a bypass operation a re-closure of the bypasses.
